The Chocolate Queen at 90 and her little canine friends…chocolate corgis!!
What better way to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday but to commemorate her in divine Belgian chocolate. 3kg of the stuff in fact. 360 hours of incredibly hard work and perfectionism has resulted in this magnificent and deliciously tasty chocolate bust of her Majesty the Queen.
The process started with Tim Simpson of Plunge Creations , the same sculptor who created the original Cumberbunny and Chocobatch clay sculpts, using over 50 photo references of her majesty and 20 kg of clay to painstakingly sculpt the royal icon.
The food-safe mould of this was then used by Jen, Head Chocolatician, to cast this amazing chocolate replica and in a similar way these adorable Choccy Pups.
After 6 weeks of artistry the Queen is ready for unveiling just in time for the big celebrations still to come this weekend for the trooping of the colour and the Queen’s unofficial birthday.
Lets hope she catches a glimpse of her sweet portrait and approves whilst feasting on her own chocolate corgi which is on it’s way to Buckingham palace right now!
The chocolate monarch is available in the U.K. in Milk or White Chocolate as pictured below. She comes adorned with hand piped chocolate diamond Diadem crown and jewellery truly fit for a Queen.
The Corgis are from £26.00 and are available in the Uk and parts of Europe. They are minimum 250g and are available in plain Milk , Plain Dark and White Chocolate with added details.
Massive thank you to brandnewbadidea.com for the photography and Natasha Coverdale for the art direction. What a wonderful collaboration it has been.
